SEMITECH Zirconia Grinding Beads are yttria-stabilized zirconia (YSZ) ceramic media engineered for high-energy bead milling and stirred media milling applications. Manufactured from 3Y-TZP (3 mol% yttria-stabilized tetragonal zirconia polycrystal) by precision forming and high-temperature sintering, these beads deliver the combination of high density (≥6.0 g/cm³), extreme hardness (HV ≥1250), and ultra-low wear rate (<0.01 mg/kg·hr) required for contamination-sensitive grinding in coatings, inks, battery materials, pharmaceuticals, and advanced ceramics processing.
